[Now, Ochako only really knows Venus from a few short interactions, but she still likes them very much!! The young man had been nothing but kind and fun to talk to since they first met, so of course Ochako's gone and gotten him a little gift for Christmas. Her omen, Alula, needed a well deserved break from delivering other gifts, so this one is actually in person. It takes some time to find the place that Venus stays at (mostly because she has to assure other friends and acquaintances she's not a psychopath or whatever, because that's just how Trench rolls), but when she does, Ochako is knocking on the door and bouncing slightly on her heels.
She's dressed ultra cozy for the godawful weather, but her boots are the insolated ones of her Hero costume. Honestly...with all the snowfall, it's just easier to float herself and use them for movement over the snowbanks. She learned that the poorly planned and extremely stupid hard way when she had a genius idea to jump off the roof of their house into the pileup of snow and sunk in a good four feet... #worth-it
She really hope the in person gift giving isn't too personal...or awkward. The gift is relatively simple because they don't know each other well enough - some cookies, sweet breads, chocolate strawberries and candied orange peels. Even some yummy popcorn balls in various flavors of sweet, spicy, and salty!! Everyone likes snacks, right? Ochako sure thinks so, and if he doesn't she has no qualms about taking it back and getting him something else that he either needs or likes. The gift-giving is part of the fun of Christmas for her, after all.]
[ the good news: she's at shiro's place for christmas morning instead of anna's, which means ochako has probably just had to deal with a sweet, gay, and very stupid space pilot instead of the most foul-mouthed woman in lingerie imaginable. the bad news: venus hasn't had a chance to talk to ochako in a few weeks, and things have changed a bit since then.
not that venus is really thinking about any of that when she opens the door. (or, well, tries to open it; when your body is made of eyes and wings and light, certain things that are built for hands take you a lot longer than you might expect.) she's just answering the door on christmas for someone. no big! maybe they're here to bring shiro a gift!
the door creaks open. venus stares out at the decidedly human-shaped person on the porch. ochako can stare in at the decidedly not human-shaped person ambiently filling the space of the entryway. she is resplendant. she is luminous. she is not entirely recognizable as venus, right up until she speaks from within and without and all around the room: ]
Oh my god? Um. Hi, Ochako! I wasn't... Expecting? To see you before I'd explained some things??
[ are those things obvious? yeah. probably. the ball of light and feathers and eyes scoots over, as best as it can, in a gesture for ochako to come inside. ]
You can come in if you want! Whether you're staying or not. I, um. I need to go grab your present and I'd feel weird telling you to stand outside.
[Ochako has indeed met Shiro once before!! Despite the dire circumstance of their meeting, the two hit it off extremely well, sharing a love of space and science. It's been a while from that point, but she was delighted to meet him again, even for just a passing moment. Though in all honesty...even the latter woman wouldn't get under Ochako's skin too much, unless she well and truly tried. Ochako deals with an offensive person on the daily, she's dating him even!! And lingerie...well.

When the door opens, and Ochako hears the familiar voice of one of her newest friends, she beams...o-only for that smile to slowly melt off her face into a look of mild panic, horror, and deep confusion. The color, too, also drains from her face as she locks eyes with one, two, three...ten? Probably ten. Ten eyes, all blinking out of sync, and in various parts of this...this thing. Person?? Friend??? It has her friend's voice but that voice seems distant. Going farther and farther away, becoming fuzzy...
The floor comes up to meet Ochako very quickly as she fails her Con Save panics and passes the fuck out right there and then, oops. A-At least the gift she was holding remains aloft!! Ochako may have accidentally activated her quirk on it before she keeled over. Lucky?]
[ ochako smiles, and venus feels a surge of relief in whatever part of her passes for a heart. she understands! she's not scared of her, like this! oh, that's going to make a lot of things so much easier-
and then ochako makes A Face and passes out. ]

[ for a good five seconds, venus just sort of... nervously flits and writhes in place. oh jeez! oh crap! ochako just passed out on the floor and she's pretty sure it's her fault?? should she move her... is it passing out you're not supposed to move someone for?? no, that's car accidents and injuries. okay! well! she's just. going to move ochako to the couch, as gently as she can - which is pretty gently now that her body is mostly wings and feathers and light - and set about trying to make some tea for the other girl.
after a few minutes, a thump draws her attention, and she phases over to the entryway... where ochako's gift has finally landed, under gravity's sway once more. oh! right. the gift. she almost forgot, with the, uh. passing out. after moving it to the kitchen table she heads into her room, grabbing a small box that's been gift-wrapped - a bit lumpily, but with great care - containing ochako's gift.
she deposits it very gently onto the coffee table in front of ochako. now to just hope she doesn't pass out again when she wakes up??? ]
[Listen. It's hard. It's hard for Ochako to not be spooked by this!! For one thing, she was not expecting her new friend tp be a bundle of wings, eyes, and a disembodied voice coming from nowhere and everywhere all at once. Secondly, despite Trench being, well...Trench, Ochako still harbors quite a big fear of the paranormal - this sort of set her off in a bad way since she's not experienced that type of horror in a bit, actually. BUT IT'S FINE, SHE'LL BE FINE!! Just needs a bit of an impromptu nap on the floor to gather herself.
